Only yesterday I was walking past Miu Miu pondering over their ad campaigns featuring Hailee Steinfeld, she is a gorgeous girl but I couldn't decide whether her being in the ad was a good move or not. She suits the brand and is impeccably dressed, the issue is the age. Is fourteen an appropriate age to front a campaign? I am perhaps slightly jealous of this achievement. and there are lots of professional models the same age who do the same day in, day out. There is an article on Elle today, informing the campaign has been dropped not because of her age per se, but the fact of the location of the shoot. It makes a very interesting read and is not the only label to under controversy lately, Marc Jacobs had the same issue with Dakota Fanning. Is age appropriate in a fashion campaign??
