The Hoi An experience...

When we stopped in Hoi An, there was only one thing on ours minds...tailors. The only question was which one? Hoi An is only a small sleepy village in comparison to the rest of Vietnam with every other store being a tailors. My list of garments in hand and pictures of what I want clasped to my chest I set off in search of the tailor to met my expectations. We found two lovely ladies in the central market who knew exactly what we were after. The whole experience was exhilarating and exciting, nervous to gain exactly what you had pictured in your head and going through the whole process from stratch, lead times were overnight.

Time for tea

As I am currently away from home, this post put a smile on my face and now I can think of nothing but English tea. The Berkeley really is a luxury treat for high tea and oh so fashionable. It would be a shame to eat it.

The H'Mong Girls of Sa Pa

On my visits in Vietnam, I came across the H'Mong tribe based in north Vietnam. Their dress is detailed and colourful, the women make the clothes from scratch by making the hemp fabric, making the indigo dye, dyeing, hand stitch and embroidery. I spent some time with the tribe and was shown how the clothes are made, embroidered and worn.

Shanghai Noon

Shanghai was won the best dressed city award, so much fashion on the streets. It has a different feel about it the girls are a lot more dressed up than in other Chinese cities.



Beijing Fashion

I came across these people in Beijing and I liked the outfits they sported that day, Beijing there was plenty of fashion on show.
